LCB Fertilizer, a startup incubated from IIT Kanpur, has prepared this organic fertilizer. By using this fertilizer, farmers will save costs and the quality and production of the crop will also increase.

Got support from Government of India

Akshay Srivastava of Startup-LCB Fertilizers said that LCB Fertilizer Office has received the support of Principal Scientific Advisor, Government of India. With its help, manufacturing units will be set up at many places in the country. From there the prepared compost will be transported to the entire country.

At present, the chemical fertilizers used in fields are harming the health of people and crops. Akshay Srivastava has prepared different types of compost from a mixture of 60 bacteria. This fertilizer has to be applied only once.

If a farmer grows wheat crop, his fertilizer expenses usually come to around Rs 10,000. But, on using LCB fertilizer, this expense will come to only Rs 6000.

Similarly, production increases by 15 to 35 percent, while less irrigation is required. Akshay’s product – LCB Fertilizer has not only been certified by the experts of IIT Kanpur, it has also received certificate from NABL Lab. Its quality has been recognized and certified by IIPR.

Preparations are underway to set up a unit here

Akshay told that now fertilizer production units will be set up in Chhattisgarh, UP and Madhya Pradesh. Now we will start from these states. The compost prepared from these will be used in the entire state.
