Allu Arjun has finally addressed the tragic death of a woman during a stampede at the Pushpa 2 premiere in Hyderabad. Taking to X, the actor expressed his heartbreak and extended condolences to the victim’s family. He assured them of personal support and promised to meet them soon, respecting their need for privacy.
The incident occurred on December 4, 2024, at Sandhya 70mm Theatre, where massive crowds gathered to catch a glimpse of Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna. Chaos erupted, leading to the death of Revathi (35) and injuries to her 13-year-old son. Arjun has vowed to extend assistance to the grieving family.
Sharing a video, he wrote on X, “Deeply heartbroken by the tragic incident at Sandhya Theatre. My heartfelt condolences go out to the grieving family during this unimaginably difficult time. I want to assure them they are not alone in this pain and will meet the family personally. While respecting their need for space to grieve, I stand committed to extend every possible assistance to help them navigate through this challenging journey.”
Allu Arjun also said that he’d be donating Rs 25 Lakh to the family and would also take care of all the medical expenses. “We’d like to tell you that we are there for you. I’d like to donate an amount of Rs 25 lakhs. It’s just a goodwill gesture to secure their future,” he said in the video.

Following the incident, the deceased’s family lodged a complaint at Chikkadapally Police Station. A case has been registered under Sections 105 and 118(1) read with 3(5) of the BNS Act. Central Zone DCP Akshansh Yadav stated: “According to the complaint, the theatre management, actor Allu Arjun, and his security team have been made accused… We have to identify who in his security team were present yesterday and who pushed people, creating this situation… Our deployment was there, and there is no lapse on the police’s part. Investigation is ongoing.”
Over one lakh fans thronged the venue, and tensions flared when Allu Arjun’s security team allegedly used aggressive force to control the crowd. This action toppled many people, leading to a stampede. Compounding the chaos, the actor’s team reportedly entered through an already packed area, violating crowd management norms.
