BLACKPINK’s Rose has been owning 2024 like no other. From her hit single APT. to the much-anticipated release of her debut solo album Rosie, she’s been unstoppable. But beyond the music, Rose has been opening up about her personal life, giving fans a glimpse into the stories behind her songs and maybe even her heart.

Rose has been candidly sharing snippets of her life and emotions that shaped her newest album. She reportedly said that heartbreak plays a major role, especially in tracks like Toxic Till The End, which Rose revealed was inspired by a past relationship.

“When you ask if it was hard, it was very easy for me to talk about it because it was something I was talking about all the time. I’d hate it but I’d never like the person to know about it, but I would talk about it so much. Do not want to give credit to the person, but I talked about it and it was the easiest,” Rose explained, as per Koreaboo.

But it’s not all tears and heartbreak. Songs like APT. bring a lighter, more playful side to the album, featuring none other than Bruno Mars. The two artists developed a bond during the making of the song and their camaraderie continues to delight fans.

Interestingly, Bruno Mars isn’t the only Rosie collaborator making headlines. Fans recently noticed an oddly specific similarity between him and Evan Mock, the American model, actor and skateboarder who stars in the upcoming Toxic Till The End music video.

In a teaser photo for Toxic Till The End shared by Rose on December 5, fans couldn’t help but draw comparisons between Mock and Mars. What’s the link? Both have Filipino roots and were born in Hawaii. Bruno Mars reportedly hails from Honolulu and has Puerto Rican, Jewish, Filipino and Spanish heritage, while Evan Mock was born in Waimea Bay and is of Filipino and American descent, reports South China Morning Post.

This connection sparked playful reactions from fans, who speculated about Rose having a ‘type.’ “She has a type…” joked a fan.

“Her lucky charms,” added one more.

As fans eagerly await the full release of Rosie today, on December 6, there’s no denying that Rose has mastered the art of blending personal stories with irresistible music. The album promises a rollercoaster of emotions, from love to heartbreak, with tracks like 3 am, Toxic Till The End and Call It The End. Of course, APT. is already a hit, thanks to Bruno Mars’s unforgettable collaboration. Another track, Number One Girl, co-written by Mars, further showcases Rose’s ability to collaborate and connect through her music.
