As per the CCTV footage, the speeding car, driven by a 19-year-old son of a prominent businessman, collided with several motorcycles parked on the footpath.

The Mumbai Police on Saturday arrested a 19-year-old man for recklessly driving after he rammed his speeding Porsche car into parked motorcycles in Mumbai’s Bandra.

The incident took place at around 2:40 am on Saturday near Sadhu Vaswani Chowk in Bandra. However, no one was injured in the accident.

A CCTV footage of the incident is doing rounds the corner amid the netizens on the social media.

As per the CCTV footage, the speeding car, driven by a 19-year-old son of a prominent businessman, collided with several motorcycles parked on the footpath.

According to the police, the accused was accompanied by four of his friends including a woman.

The police seize the car and took the blood sample of the 19-year-old man. The sample was sent to the forensics department for alcohol detection and further investigation.

The forensic report will help find whether intoxication or negligence caused the crash.

Meanwhile, in another incident, a 25-year-old model was killed after a speeding water tanker allegedly ran over the two-wheeler on which she was riding pillion in Bandra.

The deceased has identified as Shivani Singh, a resident of Malad suburb. Shivani was riding pillion on the two-wheeler with her friend, who sustained a leg fracture in the accident. The tanker driver fled the spot after the accident.

In recent times, Mumbai has become infamous for hit-and-run incidents. In July, a 45-year-old woman was killed and her husband was injured after a BMW car rammed into their two-wheeler in Mumbai’s Worli area. Mihir Shah, the 24-year-old son of a former Shiv Sena leader, was arrested on charges of allegedly rash driving the vehicle.
