Minor held hostage for 10 days and raped
The 16-year-old girl, resident of IIT Nanakari, is a class 11 student. Amit alias Ajay Gupta, who lives on rent in Maswanpur, lured the girl and kidnapped her. It is alleged that during this time the accused raped her. Here, on the complaint of family members, they registered a missing report of the student and started searching for her. Police arrested the accused on Saturday. When the magisterial statement of the student was taken, the student narrated her ordeal. The student told that the accused kidnapped her on November 27, held her hostage and raped her.
Police arrested the accused from Bithoor Tiraha on Saturday morning and recovered the girl. ACP Kalyanpur said that on the basis of the statement of the girl against the accused, the accused has been arrested under POCSO and other sections and sent to jail. Also, the girl has been handed over to her family.
