How did the fraud happen? Deepak Kumar Chaurasia, resident of Bikaur village of Sahjanwa police station area, lodged a complaint at Shahpur police station. Deepak was preparing for competitive examinations by staying in Rapti Nagar Colony of Gorakhpur. Bablu often used to go to Prajapati’s CSC shop located in his neighborhood to fill the forms.

On October 14, 2023, Bablu Prajapati introduced Deepak to Vinod Mali and his wife Anusuiya Devi, residents of Panditpurwan in Dohrighat area of ​​Mau district. Bablu described Vinod as an officer of Gorakhpur Development Authority (GDA) and assured that Vinod can allot flats in Manbela area under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.

He also said that registration of Rs 2,000 should be done immediately and the remaining amount should be deposited in installments before getting the possession. Deepak agreed to his words and paid the said amount. But later they came to know that Vinod and his wife had committed this fraud on the basis of fake documents and false claims.

When Deepak asked for his money back, the accused beat him up and threatened to kill him. After this Deepak registered a case in Shahpur police station.

Police is searching for the accused On Deepak’s complaint, Shahpur police have registered a case against Vinod Mali, his wife Anusuiya Devi and Bablu Prajapati under sections of cheating, intimidation and assault. Police are searching for the accused and investigating the case thoroughly.
