The court has convicted two brothers and their mother who committed a murderous attack in Shambha Bazaar of city Kotwali area in Bijnor in a property dispute case that took place 9 years ago. The court of Additional District Judge Ram Avtar Yadav sentenced Rohit, Javed and their mother Shamim Begum to 10 years each.

Atul Kumar Sharma, resident of Mohalla Shambha Bazar, Pathan Wala Kuan, had bought a house from Noor Fatima 10 years ago. Atul was having a dispute with Rohit, Javed and their mother Shamim Begum regarding this deal.

On March 24, 2015, at around 11:30 in the morning, Atul was cleaning the house with his laborer Usman. Then the accused Rohit, Javed and Shamim Begum entered the house with knives and utensils in their hands. The accused attacked Atul fatally. Laborer Usman tried to save Atul, but Rohit injured Usman too by hitting him on the head.

Hearing the noise, people of the locality reached the spot and the accused fled from there. The police took immediate action and arrested the three accused and recovered the knife and blade from their spot. During the hearing of the case, seven witnesses were presented by the prosecution. ADGC Jitendra Rajput said that the court convicted all three on the basis of sufficient evidence and witnesses.

On Wednesday, the court sentenced Rohit, Javed and Shamim Begum to 10 years each and ordered them to be sent to jail immediately. This decision of the court is a strong message for criminals and strengthens people’s faith in the law.
