The RT-G autonomous spherical robot was introduced recently by the Chinese robotics company Logon Technology, which has termed it a ‘technological breakthrough.’

Several videos of the RT-G robot navigating the streets in China have gone viral on social media.

“China’s just rolled out a spherical police robot that can chase down criminals, shoot nets, and even handle falls from heights! It moves at speeds up to 35 km/h — talk about a futuristic crime fighter!” read a viral post on Instagram that shared a video featuring the RT-G robot, along with police officials carefully scanning the surroundings while rotating at a fixed time.
