Dwayne Johnson Says He Had A ‘Great Time’ Working With Priyanka Chopra In Baywatch – News18

In a recent interview, Dwayne Johnson opened up about his experience of working with Priyanka Chopra Jonas on Baywatch.

Hollywood and WWE superstar Dwayne Johnson is all set with his upcoming movie Red One alongside Chris Evans, J.K. Simmons, Lucy Liu, Kiernan Shipka, and other stars. During one of the promotions for the film, he discussed his love for working not only in Hollywood but also in Bollywood. Moreover, he made a stunning revelation about his experience working with Priyanka Chopra earlier.

In an interview, Dwayne Johnson gave his two cents on the massive cinema scope in India. He revealed his love for Bollywood films and stated, “There’s Hollywood, and then there’s Bollywood,” he told Filmfare. The actor also revealed his opinion about the expansion in India.

Following this, he recalled his experience working with Priyanka Chopra Jonas and expressed his admiration for the global icon. For the unknown, Pee Cee and Johnson worked together in the comedy-action movie Baywatch. He stated, “I’ve worked with Priyanka in the past, and we had a great time filming that movie [Baywatch]. And I love the idea of making a Bollywood film.” In the film, the actress portrayed the role of an antagonist, Victoria Leeds, and it marked her entry to the Hollywood films. Johnson, Zack Efron, Kelly Rohrbach, Alexandra Daddario, Jon Bass, and Ilfenesh Hadera were seen as the lifeguards.

But this wasn’t the first time Johnson talked about his admiration for The Citadel actress. Earlier, he revealed being in love with her stunting all their fans. It was during the release of the film Baywatch that the actor shared in a candid interview, “I love this woman, it’s funny when she comes to America… She was over here, signed with our agency, with my agent, we immediately had that connection,” adding, “We got on the phone, we immediately vibed, we share the same DNA, the same ambition.”

However, Johnson’s admiration came alongside a heap of praise for Priyanka’s performance in the film. “Not only did I fall in love with her, but we also had this crazy idea that she would be an amazing villain on Baywatch,” he said. Further, mentioning that Priyanka’s take on the villain was of great quality, the WWE star quipped, “I think in order to play a villain, the greatest of villains have this great quality and capacity and depth, and that’s exactly what Priyanka has. So, it originally was written for a man… It is way cooler if we flip that over and make it a female… With Priyanka, everything is considered, every little detail is considered.”

In the Holiday season film Red One, Johnson plays the role of Santa’s head of security, Callum Drift, who reluctantly joins Chris Evans’ Jack O’Malley to help track down and bring back Santa Claus before Christmas after the latter is kidnapped.
