To connect Transganga City with the city, the proposal to build two bridges on river Ganga has been agreed to in a meeting held at UPSIDA Auditorium with higher officials on Wednesday. Now the cost of the bridge is Rs 188 crore more than before and the length has increased by about 400 meters.

Both the bridges will land equally in the middle of the Ganga, between gates number one and three of Transganga City. With this, the city will be directly connected to Transganga City and it will also provide a lot of relief to the people commuting from the city to Lucknow.

The bridges will be constructed by the Bridge Construction Corporation from the budget of Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPCIDA). The survey report of the proposed bridge conducted with Divisional Commissioner Amit Gupta and Bridge Construction Corporation officials in the month of September has been considered correct.

UPSIDA CEO Mayur Maheshwari said that the report of the proposed bridge has been agreed upon after meeting with the officials. Via Transganga, one bridge will land at Ranighat and the other at Dhobighat.

About 4 km. the bridge will be longer Earlier the length of the bridge was finalized at 3900 meters which has now increased to 4300 meters. That means the length of the bridge has increased by 400 meters. Also, earlier the cost of construction of both the bridges was Rs 538.10 crore, which has now increased to Rs 726 crore. That means it will cost Rs 188 crore more than the earlier cost. It will be built about 11-11 meters wide.

Y shaped overbridge will be built In the month of July, Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana held a meeting with the officials to know the outline of the Ganga bridge, after which the work gained momentum. After this, Divisional Commissioner Amit Gupta, UPSIDA, Setu Nigam and the administration team conducted the survey again. After which it was decided that the bridge would be built in Y shape.

DPR will be sent in 15 days Both the bridges will come parallel between gates one and three of Transganga City, one bridge will land at Ranighat from the middle of the Ganga and the other will land at Dhobighat. After the meeting of higher officials on Wednesday, the district officers have agreed to this survey report.

Now within 15 days, the final DPR will be prepared by the Bridge Corporation and sent to the government. The work will be started as soon as consent is received.

Traffic through the bridge will be like this: 1. If you are coming from Lucknow, then you will come to the city via the bridge being built on Dhobighat via Bhairavghat road and Emerald road near Khalasi Line Road Rev-3. 2. To go from the city towards Lucknow, one will reach from Transganga via Rani Ghat bridge, near Bhairavghat temple and Jalkal pump house.
