On Friday, a nurse committed suicide by hanging herself in Lucknow’s Kalyanpur. The woman’s husband died one and a half years ago. Since then she lived alone. The police arrived on the information of the landlord and sent the body for post-mortem.

Sudha (27), resident of Mahmudabad, Sitapur, was a nurse in Lohia Hospital. The husband had died one and a half years ago after consuming poisonous substance. She lived alone in a rented house in Kalyanpur. Landlord Shobhit Verma told that the tenant living in the nearby room told that Sudha has not come out of the room since morning. The door is locked from inside.
Despite several calls, no one is responding. He reached there and knocked a lot but got no answer. When I looked through the window, I saw that Sudha was hanging from the fan with the help of the noose of the towel. He was immediately taken to the hospital. Where the doctors declared him dead. Police have sent the body for post-mortem.
According to Inspector Prabhatesh Kumar Srivastava, no suicide note was found from the room. Sudha was worried after her husband’s death. He took this step due to depression. There was no relation with her in-laws after her husband’s death. The family members have been informed. Further action will be taken on the basis of post mortem report.
