In view of the increasing cold and cold wave in Jalaun, DM Rajesh Kumar Pandey and Superintendent of Police Dr. Durgesh Kumar inspected various places in Orai on Thursday night. He arranged night shelters at medical colleges, district hospitals, railway stations and bus stands.

Blanket distribution to the elderly and needy
During the inspection, DM and SP distributed blankets to the elderly and women living in night shelters. He instructed the subordinate officers that all the arrangements of the night shelters should be operated properly, so that the people living there do not face any problem.
Attention to the arrangements of medical college and hospital
The DM also inspected the medical college and the district hospital. He talked to the patients and understood their problems and instructed the doctors to provide good medical services to the patients. Also, special attention was asked to ensure that no patient is discriminated against.
Special inspection of city night shelters
While inspecting the night shelters built at the railway station and bus stand, the DM reviewed the arrangements. He ensured that people living in night shelters get adequate facilities and protection during the winter.

During the inspection, DM and SP gave instructions to improve the arrangements and also distributed blankets to the people present there.

The District Magistrate has appealed to the general public to help the needy during the cold and inform the administration of any problem. The administration is making every possible effort to help the people affected by the cold wave.
