Indian batsman Shubman Gill said- ‘If you don’t win you will be scared. We won last time and in India too. This generation doesn’t think about who is bowling and just looks at the ball.
Gill was talking to the media before the third match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, starting on Saturday, December 14 at the Gabba ground in Brisbane. He also congratulated D Gukesh who won the World Chess Championship a day earlier. Gill said- ‘I congratulate Gukesh on behalf of the Indian cricket team. Becoming the youngest world chess champion is an achievement in itself. Gukesh had defeated China’s Ding Liren 7.5-6.5 on Thursday night.
Shubhman Gill played innings of 31 and 28 runs in the Adelaide Test.
Old memories refreshed in Gaba: Gill Gill said that after Australia’s victory at Gabba in 2021, when we came to practice for the first time at Gabba, old memories were refreshed. Here the Indian team had registered a 3-wicket victory in the last Australia tour.
After the historic victory in Gabba, the Indian team took a tour of the Gabba ground.
Gill’s main points…
- The player will know what the wicket is like after playing once. Well the wicket is looking good.
- The pink ball is different. This is a little difficult. We are more used to red balls. It is a bit difficult to estimate its speed, seam and grip while playing at night.
- The speed with which the games are played is what makes it difficult. Mental fitness is needed here. Circumstances are difficult. It becomes easier to bat 35 overs till the second new ball.
Series tied at one each The 5 match test series is tied at one each. The Indian team won the Perth Test against Australia by 295 runs and took a 1-0 lead in the series. Australia then made a comeback in the series by winning the Adelaide Test by 10 wickets.
