Assistant Commissioner GST Ballia Pankaj Kharwar was checking vehicles with his team on Monday. The GST team caught a truck in a tax evasion case near Bharauli Golambar and it was parked outside Narhi police station. After 72 hours, on Thursday evening the GST team reached the police station and got the box loaded in the truck for physical verification.

The entire truck was loaded with cases of English liquor inside. The blanket cutpieces were packed in boxes. Inside the entire truck was loaded with cases of English liquor. Seeing this, the Assistant Commissioner of GST informed the higher officials and also informed the police. Narhi police took possession of the truck and started taking necessary action.

Assistant Commissioner GST Pankaj Kharwar said that this truck was stopped in Bharauli during road checking. The truck driver declared it as blanket load and its related form was presented before us. After this we handed over the vehicle to the police station. So that whenever there is physical verification after 72 hours, I will do physical verification of Mars. After physical verification, I will announce the penalty.

During physical verification, after removing the tarpaulin, the rope was found to be a double folded blanket. In which the blanket was not found loaded. A cut piece of blanket was found. Imperial blue liquor was found loaded inside. How much is there has not been counted. Information has been given to Excise Department, SO, CO sir, Additional Commissioner of your department. It is being told that this consignment of liquor was being taken from Punjab to Bihar.
