CAT Result 2024: IIM Calcutta released the provisional answer key for CAT 2024 on December 3.

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta is set to release the results for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024 soon, although the exact date and time have not been confirmed. Candidates who appeared for the exam can check their results on the official website- iimcat.ac.in.

The provisional answer key for CAT 2024 was released on December 3, with the opportunity for candidates to raise objections until December 5. The final answer key will be published alongside the results. To access the scorecard, candidates will need to log in using their User ID and password on the official website.

IIM Calcutta CAT 2024: How To Check Result?

Step 1: Go to IIM CAT’s official websiteiimcat.ac.in.

Step 2: Select the link for the IIM CAT 2024 scorecard from the homepage.

Step 3: Enter your password and user ID to log in.

Step 4: The scorecard for CAT will be shown.

Step 5: Check your result and save the PDF version for future use.

To be eligible for admission in the current academic year, students must download their CAT 2024 scorecards and retain them until the completion of the admissions process. The results will be determined through a normalisation process that considers multiple factors, including percentile distributions, mean, median and both the highest and lowest scores.

This year, a total of 3.29 lakh students enrolled for the CAT 2024 exam, with 2.93 lakh appearing for it, resulting in an impressive 89% attendance rate. The exam was conducted across 389 testing centres on November 24, 2024. The CAT 2024 exam pattern was also revised, with the DILR and QA sections each featuring 22 questions, and the VARC section containing 24 questions, summing up to a total of 68 questions.

Based on past trends, the CAT results are typically released 20 to 25 days after the exam. For instance, the CAT 2022 results were announced on December 21, 2022, 24 days after the exam was conducted on November 27, 2022, while the CAT 2023 results were released on December 21, 2023, 25 days after the exam was held on November 26, 2023. Following this pattern, it is expected that the CAT 2024 results will be announced either this week or the next.
