The Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was recently found in the middle of an unsettling experience after his Ohio home was broken into, while he was away with his team in Dallas for a crucial Monday Night Football game. At the centre of the incident was also a 20-year-old IMG model and social media personality Olivia Ponton who reportedly noticed the damage and called the police. Breaking his silence about the incident, Burrow recently opened up and shared that his privacy has been violated.

Speaking to the media on Wednesday, the Bengals quarterback said, “I feel like my privacy has been violated in more ways than one, and way more is out there than I would want out there and that I care to share. We live a public life and one of my least favorite parts of that is the lack of privacy, and that has been difficult to deal with my entire career. I’m still learning, but I understand it’s the life that we choose. It doesn’t make it any easier to deal with,” as quoted by CNN.

Keeping his response brief, Burrow further emphasises his wish to maintain as much privacy as possible amid the ongoing speculations about Olivia Ponton’s connection to his life. There are already rumours of a possible romantic relationship between the two after they were spotted together last summer.

According to a report provided by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s office, Joe Burrow’s house was broken into on Monday night. Ponton, who is said to be employed by Burrow, arrived at the Anderson Township home to find a shattered bedroom window and informed her mother, who alerted 911. There was also another 911 call from Ponton who said, “Someone broke into my house. It’s like completely messed up.”

It is worth mentioning that the break-in is not just the first case in recent times. Other NFL figures like Chiefs Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce were recent victims in cases of home invasion. The NFL even issued memos, cautioning players and coaches of the risk and advising them to improve their home security, especially when they are out for game schedules.
