Accountant Raju Soni, posted at Vibhutikhand zonal office of Lucknow Municipal Corporation, was arrested red-handed by the anti-corruption team on Friday while accepting a bribe of ₹ 1 lakh. The accused accountant was demanding this bribe in exchange for approval of some file.

According to sources, the complainant had informed the anti-corruption team that the accountant was continuously demanding money to pass the file. As per the plan, the team caught the accountant taking bribe on Friday. The team has also seized bribe money and other documents.
