Allu Arjun’s Pushpa co-star Rashmika Mandanna has finally broken her silence on social media regarding his arrest in connection with the tragic death of a woman during the Pushpa 2: The Rule premiere at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad. Taking to Instagram, after the actor was granted bail, Rashmika expressed her disbelief, writing that she ‘cannot believe what she’s seeing right now.’ She described the incident as “unfortunate and deeply saddening” but added that it is “disheartening to see everything being blamed on a single individual.”
Taking to Instagram Stories, Rashmika wrote, “I can’t believe what I am seeing right now.. The incident that happened was an unfortunate and deeply saddening incident. However, it is disheartening to see everything being blamed on a single individual. This situation is both unbelievable and heartbreaking.”
Meanwhile, Allu Arjun has been granted interim bail by the Telangana High Court as investigations into the case continue. The incident, which occurred on December 4, sparked widespread concern over crowd management and safety at high-profile events. The court’s decision to grant interim relief comes as investigations continue into the mishap.
Statement from victim’s family
Bhaskar, the husband of the deceased woman Revathi, has said that he is willing to withdraw the case. In his statement, he shared that he doesn’t hold Allu Arjun responsible for the stampede that claimed his wife’s life. “I am ready to withdraw the case. I was not aware of the arrest and Allu Arjun has nothing to do with the stampede in which my wife passed away,” he said.
The mishap
A large crowd gathered outside the theatre to catch a glimpse of Allu Arjun, who attended the screening with music director Devi Sri Prasad. As fans rushed towards the venue, chaos broke out, causing the main gate to collapse. In the panic, a 35-year-old woman tragically lost her life, and her 9-year-old son was seriously injured.
