Emphasis on transparency in weighing process
DM Pawan Aggarwal talked about maintaining complete transparency in the sugarcane weighing process. During the inspection, he got the sugarcane weighed on the tractor trolley in his presence and ensured that all the weighing was done in front of the farmers. He instructed the officials that the weighing of sugarcane should be done with complete transparency and there should not be any kind of irregularities.
Attention to security arrangements
In view of the security at sugarcane weighing centres, the District Magistrate directed the sugar mill officials to install reflectors on sugarcane tractor trolleys. This step has been taken to avoid accidents, so that there is no problem in identifying vehicles at night.
Discussion on irrigation systems
During the inspection, the District Magistrate met the farmers who reached the sugarcane weighing center and inquired about their well being. Along with this, he gave information to the farmers about better options for irrigation, such as the benefits of farm ponds and drip irrigation. During this time, Additional Superintendent of Police Yogesh Kumar, Tehsildar Sadar and other concerned officers were also present.
