Local people said that the young man was lying on the roadside footpath since Friday afternoon. Lodhiganj outpost police was informed about this at night, but the police did not reach the spot. They allege that if the young man had been taken to the hospital in time, his life could have been saved.
People present at the spot said that the young man was under the influence of alcohol and his condition might have worsened due to cold. When people saw the dead body in the morning, they immediately informed the police again. Lodhiganj outpost in-charge said that he reached the spot after receiving information at night, but no youth was found there. When people informed about the discovery of the dead body in the morning, the police reached the spot and took action.
Police trying to identify The body of the unidentified youth has been kept in the post-mortem house. Police are gathering information to identify the youth by showing his photo in nearby villages. Local people have accused the police of negligence in this matter. He says that if the police had acted on time, the young man’s life could have been saved.
