Allu Arjun’s grandmother was left emotional when the Pushpa 2: The Rule star returned home from jail on December 14. A video has surfaced on social media, which shows that the superstar’s grandmother performed ‘nazar utarna’ ritual as he returned from jail. The clip shows Allu Arjun touching his grandmom’s feet following which the two get emotional and share a warm hug. Allu Arjun’s grandmother is then seen warding off the evil eye by performing a ritual.

Previously, another video surfaced on social media in which Allu Arjun was seen hugging his wife, Sneha, as he returned from jail. The actor’s wife got emotional and teary-eyed as she saw her husband.

Allu Arjun was arrested on December 13, 2024, in a case related to the death of a woman at the Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad during the screening of Pushpa 2: The Rule earlier this month. The woman died after the chaos unfolded as massive crowds gathered to catch a glimpse of Allu Arjun, who was attending the event alongside music director Devi Sri Prasad. In the ensuing commotion, the theatre’s main gate collapsed, resulting in a stampede. A 35-year-old woman lost her life, and her 9-year-old son sustained severe injuries.

Allu Arjun was picked up from his residence and then sent to 14-day judicial custody. He was granted interim bail for 4 weeks on a personal bond of Rs 50,000. However, delays in paperwork resulted in him spending a night in jail.

Upon his release, Allu Arjun expressed his remorse, calling the woman’s death “very unfortunate”. “I thank everyone, this incident was very unfortunate, we are extremely sorry whatever happened, we are with the family, this never happened with anyone, I am there to support the family in every way, I am thankful to everyone,” he said.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Allu Arjun is currently enjoying the success of Pushpa 2: The Rule. It was undoubtedly the most awaited film of the year and has been getting an overwhelming response from the audience. Also starring Rashmika Mandanna in the lead, the film has already crossed Rs 1000 crore at the box office.
