Thousands of devotees took a dip of faith in Mother Ganga. The process of bathing in Ganga, which started early in the morning, continued till ten in the morning.

During the Ganga bath, the Ganga ghats were seen resonating with the chants of Har Har Gange and Har Har Mahadev. On the other hand, for the peace of the souls of their ancestors, the devotees performed Havan Yagya with the priests on the banks of Ganga and earned virtuous benefits by giving them donations, clothes, food etc. On the other hand, the police force was also seen ready at the Ganga ghats for the safety of the devotees.

Thousands of devotees from Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Noida, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Amroha, Moradabad and surrounding areas reached Brijghat pilgrimage city located on National Highway-9 to take a bath in the Ganga on the full moon day on Sunday. Amidst the cold, the process of bathing started at four in the morning and continued till ten in the morning. During this time, the Ganga Ghats were seen resonating with the chants of Har Har Gange and Har Har Mahadev.

On the other hand, Pandit Ganga Sharan Sharma of Tigri Ganga Dham told that today is Margashirsha Purnima. It is considered auspicious to take a bath in the Ganga on this full moon day and to donate clothes, food and donations to poor and needy people. Apart from this, doing such work brings happiness and prosperity in life.
