Yashpal Singh, resident of Rakshapuram, Ganganagar, is a BJP leader. He also has property work. Yashpal Singh’s son Aman Tomar lived in a flat outside Gangadham Colony. Aman Tomar used to do contracting. On Saturday, he had gone to a wedding ceremony with his wife and children along with his father. After returning from the function at night, he dropped his father at Rakshapuram. From there he went home. On reaching outside the flat, the wife and children went upstairs. Aman remained sitting in the car. After this he did not reach home. His car was found parked below the flat.

After the sudden disappearance of Aman Tomar, his family members searched for him since morning. The mobile was switched off. The car was locked. After this, information about Aman was taken from all his friends but no information was found anywhere. Throughout the day, family members, relatives and friends kept searching for him at various places in the city but could not find Aman anywhere. Around 3 o’clock in the afternoon, someone saw a dead body lying in a drain a few steps away from the house and when noise was raised, the family reached there. The dead body was identified as that of Aman Tomar. The mobile was switched off due to getting wet in water. That’s why calls were not going through.

Investigation of the incident through CCTV footage

On information, Ganganagar police station reached the spot. SP Dehat Rakesh Kumar Mishra says that he checked the footage of CCTV installed nearby. It was revealed that he was near the car. It is believed that he was going to the toilet, when he lost his balance he fell into the drain and died.

The family members have not filed the complaint yet

Ganganagar police station in-charge Anoop Singh says, there is no injury mark on the body. The zip of Aman’s pants was open. In such a situation, there is a suspicion that he went to the bathroom and then fell into the drain. A postmortem of the body has been done. The report will come tomorrow.

Students were active in politics

Nowadays Aman Tomar was running a restaurant near Tejgarhi. He remained active in the politics of student union of Meerut College. Police investigation has also revealed that 20 years ago, two brothers living on PL Sharma Road outside Aman Tomar’s Crystal Palace had shot him. At that time this case was registered in Lalkurti police station. The police had also sent the accused to jail at that time.

A similar incident had happened 100 steps away in January this year. On January 29, 2024, the body of 45-year-old Kameshwar Singh, resident of Ganganagar H Block, was found lying in the drain on Gangadham drain. His car had started. He was posted as Junior Manager in District Cooperative Bank at Garh Road, Kithore. He had come to meet his friend in Gangadham Colony on the night of 28 January. The friend had sent him home, but he had not reached home. His body was found in the drain.
