Maharashtra New Cabinet Ministers Full List 2024: The expansion took place a day before the Nagpur state legislature winter session that is scheduled to begin on Saturday (December 16).

Maharashtra New Cabinet Ministers List: After more than 10 days since Devendra Fadnavis took oath as Chief Minister of Maharashtra, the BJP-led state government announced the cabinet expansion on Friday, with several new faces in key positions.

This came after Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP national president JP Nadda had a brief discussion on the cabinet expansion on Thursday, according to sources. The expansion took place a day before the Nagpur state legislature winter session that is scheduled to begin on Saturday (December 16).

Devendra Fadnavis was sworn in as the Chief Minister on December 5, while Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar took oath as his deputies. In the November 20 assembly polls, the Mahayuti swept to power, winning 230 out of 288 seats in the state. The BJP led with 132 seats, followed by Shinde’s Shiv Sena with 57 and Pawar’s NCP getting 41.
