Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami has been included in the Bengal squad for the Vijay Hazare Trophy. At the same time, there is uncertainty about Shami going to Australia for the Border Gavaskar Trophy (BGT).
Vijay Hazare Trophy will start from 21st December. Sudeep Kumar Gharami will captain the Bengal team. He also captained in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Bengal will start its campaign against Delhi on December 21 in Hyderabad.
Shami took 11 wickets in 9 matches in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy Shami was injured during the ODI World Cup last year and returned to the field after almost a year in the Ranji Trophy. During his comeback, he took four wickets in the first innings and three wickets in the second innings against Madhya Pradesh. After this match, there was hope that Shami could also be called to Australia for the Border Gavaskar Trophy but it did not happen. After this, he took 11 wickets in 9 matches in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
