Dispute over check of Rs 4 lakh resolved

Itiyathok Gonda resident Umar Chaudhary had given a check of Rs 4 lakh to Vivek Kumar Singh, a resident of Saraikhas, Balrampur, but due to non-payment of the cheque, Vivek had filed a suit in the CJM court. After two years of going to court, a settlement was reached between the two parties through Lok Adalat. Omar Chaudhary paid Rs 4 lakh to Vivek Kumar, thereby ending the matter.

Reconciliation in challan cases of District Panchayat

A challan was sent against Anokhi Lal, Rajesh Verma and Siyaram by the District Panchayat in the Lok Adalat. A settlement was reached in the court between the District Panchayat and the accused, after which they paid the fine and the case ended.

Conciliation agreement in labor department matters

A case was filed against Afroz, Arvind Upadhyay, Akhlaq and Nafees under the Labor Act by the Labor Department. In the Lok Adalat, these people compromised with the Labor Department and paid a fine, due to which these cases were resolved.

Agreement reached in cases of assault also

Even in cases of assault, Lok Adalat facilitated reconciliation. Kotwali Nagar police had registered a case against Amit Tripathi on the application of Anshu Pandey, but the case was dropped after a settlement was reached between the two parties on Saturday. Similarly, Abdul Salam had filed a case of assault against Hasimullah in Tulsipur police station in the year 2008. This case also ended due to a settlement between both the parties in the Lok Adalat.

Relief from Lok Adalat

In all these cases, people have got relief due to the conciliation agreement through Lok Adalat. These agreements have resulted in resolution of long pending cases and people are now free from the hassles of courts.
