Star Australian batter Travis Head maintained his red-hot form in Test cricket against India and scored his third century versus Rohit Sharma-led side on Sunday, December 15. Head came out to bat at No. 5 for the Baggy Greens in the first innings of the ongoing third Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy at The Gabba in Brisbane and crossed the 100-run mark by taking three runs on the 115th ball of his innings.

The century on Sunday is his second Test century in a row against India and third overall in the last four Tests played between the two teams. The left-handed batter scored 163 runs for the Pat Cummins-led side in the first innings of the World Test Championship (WTC) 2023 final played at The Oval in June last year and then hammered 89 runs in the second innings of the first Test of the ongoing five-match series.

In the second Test of the 2024/25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy, which was played at the Adelaide Oval, Head hammered 140 runs from 141 balls in the first innings to help the Aussies win the match by 10 wickets and level the series 1-1.

In Brisbane, Head has hammered 13 fours so far and stitched a partnership of more than 150 runs for the fourth wicket with Steve Smith, who, after getting out for low scores in the first two Tests, has managed to score a fifty.

During his 101-run knock, Head has also completed 1000 runs in Test cricket against India and the left-handed batter would now like to convert his century into a big one.
