WPL Auction 2025 Live Updates: A mini auction in Bengaluru will kickstarts the preparations for the next season of the Women’s Premier League. 120 players have been shortlisted for the auction as the five franchises – Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Delhi Capitals, UP Warriorz and Gujarat Giants – look to fine tune their respective squads. The five teams have retained the core of their squads with only a combined 19 vacant slots available. 91 Indian players along with 29 from overseas will be praying to land a WPL deal

There are five slabs including for Rs 50 lakh, Rs 30 lakh, Rs 20 lakh and Rs 10 lakh. Only three players have put their names in the highest reserve price (Rs 50 lakh) including Heather Knight, Deandra Dottin and Lizelle Lee. As many as 26 players were released ahead of the auction with RCB and GG letting go of seven players each.

UPW have three vacant slots while the rest have to fill four slots each.

GG finished fifth in the standings in both the WPL seasons, and they enter the mini auction with a purse of Rs 4.4 crore – the highest among the participants. UPW have a remaining purse of Rs 3.9 crore followed by RCB’s Rs 3.25 crore, MI’s 2.65 crore and DC’s 2.5 crore.

RCB became the WPL champions earlier this year when they defeated DC in the title clash.
