‘Awadh Ke Rang’ program was organized at the International Buddhist Research Institute located in Gomti Nagar, Lucknow. This event was organized by Image and Creation Welfare Society in collaboration with the Culture Department of Uttar Pradesh.

Legislative Council member Pawan Singh Chauhan attended the program as the chief guest. A ten-day Awadhi folk singing workshop is being organized in the programme.

Guests were honored in the program.

The program included ‘Mahalon Mein Baje Badhaai’, ‘Tilak Aaj Raghubar Ki Aayi’, Tohar Dulha Ho, Tohar Dulha, Gaura Sabse Nirala’, invitation song, wedding song, Angan More Aao Kare Bhanwara, Gauvaan Ke Purub Hai, Devi Kai Chaura Ke. Other traditional Awadhi songs were also sung.

Taught the intricacies of folk songs

In this workshop, the intricacies of folk songs were taught to more than 40 participants by the famous poet, singer and instructor Shiv Poojan Shukla and Dr. Pratibha Mishra of Awadhi in Gonda district.

It included Rashmi, Deepanjali Tripathi, Jyoti Ratan, Sarita Agarwal, Shashi Singh, Aparna Singh, Madhuri Singh, Aruna Kavita, Nutan, Samreen Anumenha and Neeshu Tyagi along with other actors.

The program was presided over by organization head Kavita Pathak. Padmashree Dr. Vidya Vindu Singh, Mahendra Bhishma Awasthi, Bharat Dixit, Manoj Pathak, Upma Pandey and Prakash Gupta were present. Conducted by Kamlesh Pathak.
