Kumaoni play ‘Kagarai Aag’ was staged at Sangeet Natak Academy located in Gomti Nagar, Lucknow. In this, tribute was paid to late theater artist Piyush Chandra Pandey. The play was directed by Lalit Singh Pokharia, while the story writer is Naveen Joshi.

Gave new heights to Kumaoni-Garhwali theater
Piyush Chandra Pandey took Kumaoni-Garhwali theater to new heights. Piyush’s theater work started creating its own identity since childhood. His acting skills in Murali Nagar’s Ramlila and the musical skills of his father Pitambar Pandey, both carried forward this art tradition.
Piyush’s journey with All India Radio, Doordarshan and various theater institutions has established him as a skilled actor, director and teacher.
