Due to this, the role of history-sheeter Kamlesh Yadav is also being considered suspicious. 72 hours have passed since the incident, but the police have not been able to arrest even one of the four accused. Here, the jailer was referred to Lucknow for treatment.

Met again on 7th and 11th December

After the attack on the jailer, the police involved in the investigation have got many important information. History-sheeter Kamlesh Yadav was lodged in Jhansi jail. But, he started forming a gang inside the jail and his activities became suspicious. In such a situation, he was shifted to Hamirpur jail on 10 November. Details of people who met him after the attack were scrutinized.

It came to light that on December 7, Sumit and Amit had met their father Kamlesh in Hamirpur jail. After this, on December 11, Kamlesh’s wife Sumitra, son Sumit and Balveer, resident of Pulia number 9, met him in jail. Two days later, on December 14, the history-sheeter’s sons Sumit and Amit attacked the jailer.

Intelligence department had input

Both the accused sons had met their father twice in seven days inside Hamirpur jail.

Senior Jail Superintendent Vinod Kumar said that the Intelligence Department and the administration had received input that the miscreants were planning to carry out some incident by forming a gang in the jail. Along with this, during the jail inspection, the District Magistrate had asked to shift the vicious criminals to different jails. After this, 5 criminals including Kamlesh Yadav were shifted to the jails of other districts. After this incident, the miscreants started harboring a grudge against the jailer.

Not a single accused arrested

Sumit and Amit, the two sons of history-sheeter Kamlesh Yadav, who attacked the jailer of the district jail in Jhansi, have been named. Along with him, two unknown miscreants were also involved in the attack. On the complaint of jailer Kasturi Lal Gupta, a case has been registered against all four in Nawabad police station for attempt to murder by blocking the road, abusing and obstructing government work. Police are also investigating the role of history-sheeter Kamlesh Yadav.

Jailer was going to Hyderabad for training

Jailer Kasturi Lal Gupta has been posted in Jhansi for the last two years. Jailer Kasturi Gupta had training on jail reforms in Hyderabad from 16 to 20 December. The jailer was going to Hyderabad on Saturday to participate in it. They were going to the station in an auto. Jail warder Arjun Singh was also there. When his auto reached near the DRM office at 12:15 pm, a white colored car came and parked in front of the auto.

Due to this the auto stopped. Sumit Yadav and Amit Yadav, sons of history-sheeter Kamlesh Yadav, got down from the car along with their two companions. All four of them abused and pulled the jailer and jail warder out of the auto. Then he attacked with the intention of killing. After the attack, all four fled in the car. The jailer’s hand was fractured in the attack.

There are 38 cases registered against history-sheeter Kamlesh.

Kamlesh Yadav, resident of culvert number 9 of Premnagar, is a history-sheeter scoundrel. According to the police, 38 cases are registered against him in various police stations under various sections including murder, robbery, dacoity etc. He has been in jail for the last one and a half years, although he has not been sentenced in any case yet.

In this case, SP City Gyanendra Kumar Singh said that police teams are continuously raiding to arrest the accused, but till now they have not been able to catch them. He said that the accused will be arrested soon.
