Meerut’s senior theater personality Bharat Bhushan Sharma has been appointed as a member of the General Council of Uttar Pradesh Sangeet Natak Academy by the Uttar Pradesh Government. On Monday, Bharat Bhushan Sharma along with 7 other members took charge in Lucknow.

Been associated with theater for 50 years
Bharat Bhushan Sharma has been associated with theater for the last 50 years. He is currently the Director of Swangshala Acting Academy and also the President of United Progressive Theater Association and Convenor Drama of Sanskar Bharti Meerut Province. Apart from being a theater artist, Bharat Bhushan Sharma is also a poet and writer. His poetry collection ‘Mere Geet Kunware Laut Chale’ is going to be published soon. Bharat Bhushan Sharma has acted in and directed more than 100 plays. Has acted in television serials. Bharat Bhushan Sharma, retired from the post of Deputy Director in the Ministry of Social Justice, has received many prestigious honors including the prestigious Panchanan Pathak Smriti Samman, Life Time Achievement Award, Pride of Meerut.
