The victim, who lives in Aliganj area, is a manager in an online shopping company in Bengaluru. The victim used to work in Delhi in the year 2019. In Delhi he met Shubham, a resident of Mahmoorganj Bhelupur, Varanasi. During their meeting, the closeness between the two increased. After this the girl went to Bangalore.
During this time, on 13 April 2019, Shubham reached Bengaluru to meet the girl. He called the girl to the hotel for dinner. Ordered juice in the hotel which was mixed with intoxicants and given to the girl to drink. Due to which she became unconscious. Had physical relations with her while she was unconscious. When the girl regained consciousness, she protested.
Promised to get married soon. The girl trusted Shubham and did not file a case in Bengaluru. Then the accused Shubham started refusing to marry, saying that his family was not ready. The accused misbehaved with the girl after pressurizing her for marriage. The victim has lodged a report against the accused at Aliganj police station. Inspector Vinod Kumar Tiwari said that the matter is being investigated.
