The annual function was organized with great enthusiasm on Wednesday at Government Girls Inter College (GGIC), Lakhimpur Kheri. On this occasion, the students enthralled everyone with cultural presentations. The program was inaugurated by District Magistrate Durga Shakti Nagpal by lighting the lamp.

During the function, DM Durga Shakti Nagpal started the program by garlanding the picture of Mother Saraswati. He praised the presentations of the girl students and wished them all the best for their bright future. He said that the girls of GGIC have amazing talent, which can be further improved with proper guidance and hard work.

Information given about government schemes The DM informed the girl students about the schemes of the Central and State Government, such as Mukhyamantri Bal Seva Yojana, Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana and Sponsorship Scheme. He directed the Principal to provide the benefits of these schemes to the eligible girls.

The meritorious were honored During the annual function, the girl students who scored the highest marks in various categories (Science, Humanities, Vocational stream) of High School and Intermediate in the UP Board 2024 examination were honored with medals and citations. DM also honored subject wise toppers.

Emphasis on education District Inspector of Schools (DIOS) Dr. Mahendra Pratap Singh laid emphasis on providing quality education to girl students and their all-round development. He said that education is the basis of the country’s progress and teachers should create a better environment for girl students.

Principal presented annual report At the beginning of the program, Principal of GGIC, Dr. Shalini Dubey presented the annual progress report of the school. He said that continuous efforts are being made for the educational, cultural and personal development of the girl students in the school.
