After the incident, leaders of Cow Protection Organization and Bajrang Dal reached the spot and created a ruckus. Cow protection chief Hemant Saraswat and many officials of Bajrang Dal got angry and started protesting with the dead bodies of cows. He alleged that the cows were thrown near the pond, where dogs were tearing at the carcasses. When protested, the Gaushala workers misbehaved, due to which the situation became more tense.

The protesters also argued with the SDM and CO on the spot, but the matter could not be calmed down. Angry protesters reached Dhanaura tehsil carrying dead bodies of cows and blocked the Bijnor-Gajraula road. As soon as the information about the jam was received, there was panic in the police administration and forces from many police stations reached the spot.

ASP tried to pacify the protesters, but the situation appeared to be out of control. Taking advantage of the jam situation, the traffic came to a complete standstill and the situation remained the same till 6:30 in the evening. The protesters have been adamant on demanding strict action from the administration on the death of cows.
