The Border-Gavaskar trophy 2024 will be remembered for years, and one thing that will always stand out is Mohammed Siraj and Travis Head’s heated exchanges. In the second innings of the third Test between India and Australia at Brisbane, Siraj dismissed Head for just 17. But it wasn’t just the Indian fast-bowler who gave the Aussie southpaw a send-off.

In the 15th over, on Siraj’s short-pitched delivery, Head attempted to play a pull shot but could not time it properly. Following the dismissal, a young Indian supporter, present in the stands, was seen giving an enthusiastic send-off to Head.

A video of the kid’s hilarious yet energetic gesture has gone viral on X (formerly Twitter). “Cricket is an emotion. This kid proved it,” read the now-viral post.

Reacting to the video, one social media user commented, “He is me.”

“Happy signs of kid enjoying test cricket,” read another response.

Referring to the post, another person wrote, “New meme template.”

“Wish to see such celebration after winning next 2 matches comfortably. Kindly do the needful Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma,” read one reaction.

This person felt that, “All Indians are very happy because of the craziness and powerful game of Ashwin brother.”

Mohammed Siraj and Travis Head were previously found guilty of breaching the ICC Code of Conduct in the second Test match, played in Adelaide. Siraj was fined 20 per cent of his match fee after he was found to have breached article 2.5 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel. Meanwhile, Head was found to have breached Article 2.13 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel.

India and Australia are level at 1-1 after the third Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy ended in a draw. The fourth Test is scheduled for December 26 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
