Railway cables were cut and stolen from two different places in 3 days. After registering a case against the unknown, Police Sub Inspector Akhilesh Kumar Rai and Assistant Sub Inspector Ashok Kumar were engaged in the investigation along with the team. During the blockade, a man and a child molester were surrounded and caught when they came to cut the railway signal wire. On search, a saw and two wrenches were found.
During interrogation, both of them admitted to cutting railway wires on 14th and 16th December and selling them at a junkyard near Putlighar Shastri Bridge. The theft was carried out from a scrap shop on the behest of the accused. Burnt and unburnt railway cables were recovered. A case was registered and legal action was taken.
