vote counting system
The administration has made special arrangements in the GIC premises for counting of votes. A total of 100 personnel have been deployed for counting of votes on 22 tables. There will be four personnel at each table and counting of votes will be completed in five rounds. The votes will be announced by the Returning Officer (RO) after each round.
Competition interesting because of rebels
In this by-election, BJP rebel Ravi Gupta has filed his candidature as an independent candidate, due to which there is a possibility of a dent in the BJP’s votes. Other independent candidates are also registering their strong presence in the elections. The administration is keeping a strict vigil during the counting of votes and tight security arrangements have been made to deal with any irregularities.
