A legal literacy camp was organized on Thursday at Kasturba Gandhi Girls Inter College, Bharwari, Kaushambi. Chief guest Additional District Judge and Secretary of District Legal Services Authority Purnima Pranjal informed the daughters about their legal rights and importance of education.

Emphasis laid on daughters’ education and rights

Purnima Pranjal said that it is very important to educate daughters, because one daughter educates two families. He said that if daughters become legally aware, then the understanding of law will increase rapidly in the society. They also discussed marital disputes and other legal aspects.

Information given on women safety and cyber crime

Sub-Inspector Vindhyavasini told the students about women empowerment, cyber crime, women helpline number and other legal measures. Shashi Tripathi of One Stop Center gave information about the government women’s helpline number and the facilities related to it.

ADJ Purnima Pranjal, Tehsildar Pushpendra Gautam, Vindeshwari Prasad of Child Welfare Committee, Accountant Sumit Kesharwani, Revenue Inspector Surendra Singh, and the team of One Stop Center were present in the camp. College Principal Neelam Bharti, assistant teachers Kalpana and Anju and many teachers and students also participated in the program.
