Rohni of Munnikheda Gram Panchayat of Mohan assembly constituency and Suraj of Dayalpur had applied for the Chief Minister Mass Marriage Scheme. By hiding their marital status in the application, they had tried to avail wrongful benefits of the scheme. Both of them had also taken rounds in the marriage hall under the scheme, but when the information about their real marriage came to light, the administration canceled their application and also took back the gifts given to them.

A case of fake documents will be registered

CDO Prem Prakash Meena said that under this fraud, a case will now be registered against both of them for presenting fake documents. The administration is ready to take strict action in this matter. The objective of Mukhyamantri Samaj Vivah Yojana is to give the youth of poor class an opportunity to get married without financial burden. Under this, the government bears the expenses of weddings, but such frauds affect the intention of the scheme.

The CDO has assured strict action in this matter and said that the administration will remain alert to avoid such frauds in future. He also said that strict legal action will be taken against those who misuse government schemes.
