In case of tax evasion, GST team raided a mobile shop in Lanka area of Varanasi. An error was found in the stock, the shopkeeper has been asked to provide the stock register so that further action can be taken.

GST Deputy Commissioner Arvind Singh along with his team raided the mobile shop Om Sai Communication in Lanka on the complaint of tax evasion. The documents related to the goods present in the shop operator kept getting checked late night. During the raid, Deputy Commissioner Arvind Kumar Singh told that Om Sai Communication also has a warehouse in Durgakund area. Business is being operated from here but no business was declared on the departmental portal of GST. No cash tax, GST has not been deposited for one year. The shopkeeper has not yet provided the details of the stock present in the warehouse and the shop. It is certain that GST has been stolen, how much has been stolen will be known after the details of the stock are available. The owner has asked to provide details related to the stock soon.
