Bahraich’s POCSO court has found three accused guilty of molesting a minor and sentenced them to 20 years each. Besides, fine has also been imposed on all three. A fine has also been imposed on him. If the payment is not made, everyone will have to face additional imprisonment.

A resident of village Nanpara Kotwali area of the district had filed a complaint ten years ago against three people of the same area, accusing them of luring his minor daughter and raping her. On the complaint of the victim, the police registered sections 363, 366, 376D, 452, 392, 506 IPC against Lalu, Shabu and Bablu. And after registering a case under 5G/6 POCSO Act, the then investigator, UP Ashok Singh, collected evidence and presented the charge sheet in the court on 22 November 2015.
The case was heard in the court of Special Judge POCSO on Thursday. During this, government advocate Sant Pratap Singh, considering the seriousness of the incident, demanded strict punishment for all, after listening to both the parties, Judge Deepkant Mani found all three accused guilty and sentenced them to 20 years each. Along with the punishment, the court has also imposed a fine of Rs 70 thousand on everyone. Failure to pay will result in additional imprisonment of ten months.
