DPR has been prepared and sent to Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation (UPPCL) for approval.
Power Corporation is working at various levels for radical improvement in the electricity supply system in Ramnagari. Business plan part-2 has been prepared for Ayodhya. Under this, many types of works were done under the power project in Ayodhya at a cost of Rs 4616 lakh.

Under the Business Plan Part-II 2024-25, the capacity of 33/11 KV sub-stations of the district in Ayodhya will be increased. This will cost Rs 1575 lakh. 33 KV protection work is to be done at 564 places at a cost of Rs 533 lakh. The construction work of 11KV line will be done at eight places. This is likely to cost around Rs 393 lakh. The work of installation of 11/2 KV distribution transformer will be done at three places at a cost of Rs 49 lakh. At the same time, the work of strengthening of 11 KV line at 10 places is proposed to be done at a cost of Rs 98 lakh. Along with this, the capacity of 204 transformers of 11/4 KV capacity will be increased, on which an expenditure of Rs 490 lakh has been estimated.
There will be work related to underground LA and ABC and line security. Rs 1473 lakh will be spent on electrical work at 67 places in Ayodhya Dham. In this way, Rs 4616 lakh will be spent on 874 works in the district and will be spent on electrical safety and security and other works. It was told that due to overloading of five MVA transformers installed at the sub-station, roasting of 11 KV industrial power has to be done, which affects the quality of power supply. It was considered absolutely necessary to increase the capacity of the power converter.
Over load on incoming feeder
Madhyanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Chief Engineer Electricity Ashok Kumar Chaurasia said, “To improve the supply system and keeping in view the load factor increasing in future, a proposal of Rs 4614 crore has been sent to the headquarters. After getting its approval, the work will be started.”
It has also been said in the sent proposal that 33/11 KV sub-station is in KNI urban area. From where electricity is supplied to the urban area KNIT and some rural areas. (Maximum load on first five incoming MVA is 350 amps) For continuous power supply to the urban area and KNIT, it is necessary that the rural 11KV East feeder should be fed from there by increasing the capacity of 33/11KV sub-centre Shankargarh. Presently converter no. One has a load of 470 amps during peak hours. Converter no. The load of two is 455 amps India. Therefore, in view of the increasing load in future, it is necessary to install five MVA additional transformers.
