Disabled candidates protested at the Gandhi statue in Lucknow on Friday. Disabled people from different districts of the state expressed their protest demanding appointment letters. Virendra Kumar, General Secretary of Divyang Maha Alliance, said that we have been waiting for this article for a long time.

Virendra Kumar said that due to the negligence of the Commission, disabled candidates are facing problems. We all are selected candidates for the post of Accountant but till now we have not received the appointment letter. We have to fill 188 seats for which we are struggling.

‘Accused of misleading officials’
Virendra told that the movement of disabled persons selected as accountant has been going on for the last 10 months. Before this, we have also demolished the BJP office many times. But no hearing is taking place. We are only getting assurance from UPSSSC Commission. The officials are misleading in the name of giving appointment letters.

‘We have been struggling for the appointment letter for 10 months’
Virendra Kumar said that we the disabled people demand that 100% guarantee of employment, health and education should be given. In this severe cold, people from different districts of the state come to Lucknow and have to return disappointed. 10 months ago, advertisement for disabled quota for 188 accountant posts was released. After that we passed the examination, document verification of the successful candidates took place. Now one has to struggle day and night for the appointment letter. This struggle will continue until we get the appointment letters.
