India vs Sri Lanka (IND-W vs SL-W) Live Score, U19 Women’s T20 Asia Cup: The India U19 women’s team, led by Niki Prasad, face Sri Lanka with an eye on entering the title clash of the 2024 ACC U19 Women’s T20 Asia Cup on Friday. So far, the Indian team has won two of their three matches with one producing no result due to rain. India started their campaign on a victorious note when they defeated Pakistan by nine wickets. They limited Pakistan to 67/7 before hunting down the small target in 7.5 overs. In their next group stage fixture, they faced Nepal. Another impressive show with the ball followed as Nepal struggled to 94/8. India then made a strong start to the chase, reached 28/0 in 3.1 overs when rain forced the players off the field. The contest didn’t resume and was abandoned. The result meant both India and Nepal advanced to the Super Four stage from Group B with Pakistan knocked out.
India recorded their second win of the tournament in what was their first match of the Super Four stage. Put in to bat first, Bangladesh managed 80/8 in 20 overs. Opener Gongadi Thrisha scored an unbeaten half-century to power India’s chase as they overhauled the target in 12.1 overs for an eight-wicket win.
Sri Lanka began their campaign with a big 94-run win over hosts Malaysia, but the Bangladesh defeated them by 28 runs next. They ended up qualifying for the next stage and faced Nepal in their first Super Four fixture which was abandoned after just one over due to rain.
