A tractor loaded with paddy parked at Khaliyari petrol pump in Raipur police station area of Sonbhadra was stolen, causing panic in the area. However, the police took prompt action and recovered the tractor in the forest.

Thieves ran away leaving tractor after diesel ran out
According to the information, farmers Jitendra Kumar Patel and Juglesh Kumar Patel, son of Shambhu Nath Patel, residents of Karhi of Raipur police station area, had loaded their paddy on the tractor and parked it at the petrol pump late at night. In the morning when we reached to collect the tractor loaded with money, the tractor was not found there. He informed the police about this. The police reached the spot and started investigating, when they got information that sacks of paddy were lying at various places in the forest on Suarsot main road. About forty bags of paddy and tractor are standing. Due to the diesel being exhausted, the thieves left the tractor and ran away.
Search continues for the thief
When the police saw the CCTV footage found at the petrol pump, a boy wearing a jacket came with his face tied, started the tractor and stole away at around 12:39 in the night. Then the police got information that about forty sacks of paddy were lying near the Karahi police picket. When I went uphill a short distance away, I found a tractor standing there. Due to the diesel being exhausted, the thieves parked the tractor with paddy and ran away. At present the police is trying to catch the thief with the help of CCTV footage.
