Goods worth lakhs of rupees burnt to ashes

According to the information, a sudden fire broke out due to short circuit at around 5 am on Saturday morning in a general store shop in Purbiya of Sadar Kotwali police station area. Goods worth lakhs kept in the shop were burnt to ashes due to the fire. On receiving information about the fire, shop operator Karuna and his family members reached the spot and the local people informed the police and fire department team. The loss is estimated to be worth lakhs of rupees due to the massive fire that broke out in the shop.

Shop owner Karuna told that she had been running the shop for many years. Her husband died due to illness. She used to support her family from the shop itself. After her husband’s death, she took care of her mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in-law and two children from the shop itself. But now the goods worth lakhs of rupees kept in the shop have been burnt to ashes. This incident has created an uproar in the family and due to the burning of the shop, there is deep sorrow in the family.
