An incident of molestation of a student came to light in Chaurichaura area near Gorakhpur in the afternoon. The student was returning from school with her brother and some other boys of the village, when some youths surrounded them near Preeti Hospital in Saraiya and started making obscene comments.

When protested, the accused attacked When they protested, the accused attacked the student’s brother and other boys, leaving them seriously injured. The injured youth were admitted to the local hospital for treatment. The accused threatened to kill if they raised any noise and fled from the spot.
Police started action on the complaint of student’s uncle The student’s uncle has filed a complaint against nine accused in this case, stating that these youths had been harassing the student for many days. Considering the seriousness of the case, Chauri Chaura police station has identified the accused and started action. SP North Jitendra Kumar Srivastava has instructed the police station incharge to take action.
