Visarjan (26), son of Santosh Sankhwar, a resident of Maya Ka Purva of Sajeti police station area, used to work as a labourer. Contractor Vijay, resident of neighboring village Nimdha, had brought Visarjan to Swarna Jayanti Vihar of New Azad Nagar for labor five months ago. Where he had taken the contract to build several houses. Visarjan was working as a laborer in an under-construction house on Satbari Road. He lived under a tarpaulin in an empty plot opposite. Visarjan was strangled to death with a rope on Friday night. On Saturday morning, Visarjan’s body was found lying on a cot under a tarpaulin.

When the police started investigating this murder case, it came to light that fellow laborer Dharmendra, resident of Hatwa police station, Prakash Bamhauri Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh, had organized a liquor party with immersion. The party was confirmed by finding liquor bottles and non-veg at the spot. After this, the post mortem report confirmed murder by strangulation with immersion rope. Dharmendra had absconded after the incident. On the complaint of father Santosh, the police registered a case of murder against Dharmendra and were searching for him. On Sunday, the police arrested the murderer Dharmendra from Bhimnagar intersection of New Azad Nagar.

During interrogation, Dharmendra told that while drinking alcohol, he asked for beedi from Visarjan. On which Visarjan started abusing without giving the beedi. There was a fight between the two over this matter and they strangled them to death with a jute rope. Senpaschim Para police station in-charge Gautam Singh said that the murderer has been arrested and presented in the court.
