Shahid Kapoor’s latest Instagram post teases his upcoming action film Deva with a cryptic message and a release date.
Shahid Kapoor continues to ace his social media game, keeping his fans engaged with exciting updates. His latest Instagram story has created a buzz, teasing his highly anticipated film, Deva, and building excitement among cinephiles.
On December 22, Shahid shared a relaxed selfie seemingly taken in his car. In the photo, the actor made a gesture resembling the letter ‘D’ with his hand and added the caption, “Happy Sunday,” playing with the ‘D’ to hint at Deva. He further amped up the excitement by writing, “31st Jan…wait for it…” accompanied by sparkle and fire emojis. Adding a cool touch to the post, he included Dr. Dre’s Bang Bang as the background track. Shahid, dressed casually in a white t-shirt and a cap, exuded effortless charm in the snapshot.
Fans were quick to react to the cryptic post, flooding social media with comments like, “Can’t wait for Deva,” and “Deva re Deva, can’t wait for it.” Others pointed out the signature pose from the teaser, with comments like, “We got our signature pose for the Deva movie.” The excitement is palpable as the release date inches closer.
Backed by Zee Studios and Roy Kapur Films, Deva is set to be a hard-core action entertainer. Shahid will play a brilliant yet rebellious police officer, while Pooja Hegde stars opposite him as a journalist. The film also features Kubbra Sait and Pavail Gulati in pivotal roles. Directed by Rosshan Andrrews, Deva was initially slated for release on February 14, 2024, but has now been moved up to January 31, 2025, much to the delight of fans.
Looking ahead, Shahid Kapoor will soon begin working on Vishal Bhardwaj’s Arjun Ustara alongside Triptii Dimri. Set in the Post-Independence era against the backdrop of Mumbai’s underworld, the film promises to transport audiences to a bygone era. Pinkvilla exclusively reported that a massive set is being constructed in Mumbai to recreate the city of that time, ensuring an authentic cinematic experience.
